Morris was refitted at
Mare Island Navy Yard. The following photos were taken there on 21 October:
1945 KAMIKAZE
On 6 April 1945, during the first mass attack by suicide aircraft off Okinawa, Morris was crashed by a suicide plane that nearly severed her bow. The following photos were taken at Kerama Retto soon thereafter:
